Czech Sign Language

Deaf students’ primary means of communication is the Czech Sign Language. We offer courses where CUFA’s hearing, hard of hearing and deafened students can familiarize themselves with the basics of this language (these courses are not meant for Deaf Studies students, who have obligatory Czech Sign Language classes within their study plan).

At present, the following courses are offered:

další stránka cnes Basics of Czech Sign Language 1, 2, 3 for students across CU: These are courses with the allocation of 2 lessons per week, led by a Deaf teacher. Several parallel classes of the Basics of Czech Sign Language 1 and, as needed and as per students’ interest, also follow-up Basics of Czech Sign Language 2 and 3 courses are opened each semester. Registration for the courses abides by the SIS Registration Schedule for IDS – please follow the Institute’s website and FB.

další stránka cnes Czech Sign Language classes for teachers: These courses are meant for CUFA’s teachers teaching Deaf, hard of hearing or deafened students. Those who are interested should contact Dr. Andrea Hudáková.
