The lecture room P018 in CUFA’s main building (nám. J. Palacha 2, Praha 1) is equipped with the induction loop system. The rooms P020 and P026 are equipped with smoke alarm lights and a door-knocking device. The Scola FM system was bought and provided on long-term loan to four interested students, ten tablets are available for long-term loan, intended primarily for users of simultaneous transcription of written Czech by means of the Polygraf system.

Student holders of ZTP (Severe Health Disability) and ZTP/P (Severe Health Disability / Special Assistance Needed) cards may use copy services in the Centre for Information, Counselling and Social Services, CUNI, which means copying (and PC-based printing) solely for personal use. Please present your CUNI student ID card together with your ZTP (ZTP/P) card to the information desk staff.

The assistance mostly comprises tutoring Deaf, hard of hearing or deafened schoolmates, test preparation assistance etc. Administration and financing of the services correspond to those of note-taking services. Should you like to make use of this service, please consult your intention with the coordinator of services first.

In certain cases it is advisable to provide Deaf, hard of hearing or deafened students with extra tutorials (one-time, repeated, regular ones), with tutoring by a teacher, study plan modification, modification of tests, modification of teaching methods etc. Cooperation among the student, the teacher (in some cases also the programme guarantor and/or the leader of the given department or institute), and Dr. Andrea Hudáková ( and/or the coordinator of services is needed.

Within its organizational limits and its capacities at the given moment, IDS provides Deaf, hard of hearing and deafened students with specialized classes, e.g. the Deaf Culture and Identity or International Sign System courses.

We send basic information about what impact a Deaf, hard of hearing or deafened student’s presence is going to have on the lesson to all teachers who come into contact with Deaf, hard of hearing or deafened students, we offer them consultations, enable them to sit in on the classes where these students are present etc. All those interested in this methodical support should contact Dr. Andrea Hudáková (
